Awkward Moments anyone?
#21
RE: Awkward Moments anyone?
Ok, I got another one, although it won't beat Atheist_BG's awkward moment.
When I was about 22 I got a phone call from a girl named Christina who I hadn't heard from for a year.
We engaged in small talk for a while and I reminded her of that special time when we had sex on a blanket down near the lagoon.
I suggested we reenact that moment sometime in the near future.
She laughed and commented on my sense of humour.
She asked how that would be possible when she lives so far away.
That was the moment that I realised it was a different Christina than who I thought.
Nevertheless, she seemed willing so I said I would see her soon as I was visiting her city in two months time.
She told me that she was pregnant and would have had her baby by then.
I don't really remember the rest of the conversation but I never spoke to her ever again.

If she didn't ask you to marry her, consider yourself lucky,

It wasn't my baby. Just a bizarre phone call that became very awkward.

Mine isn't naughty like a few of y'alls just really awkward. lol

So my fiancé is nearly a foot taller than I am and I didn't want to look like a child next to him in our wedding photos. I bought these HUGE 6 inch wedges to be my wedding shoes. Now mind you I don't wear heels... ever. I think I'm going to be smart about this and break them in at work, and ya know just learn how to walk in them in general.

I wear them the first day and am like a damn new born fawn. I'm walking through the break room and trip over who knows what and my ass lands on the floor just as a coworker comes in. Since she saw I couldn't very well act like it didn't happen so I try and take the higher road and laugh at myself. We were laughing about it when my boss comes over. She asks what happen and in shame I tell the story again. (Also I work with a bunch of females that all wear heels so they act like I just don't know how to be a girl at all)

I think it is all over but days later my boss pulls me in her office and tells me due to protocol she had to inform HR about my fall. I gawk, all I had was a skinned knee! HR would be calling me to get a report! Holy crap now I'm even more embarrassed. This lady I have only met twice before calls me and proceeds to ask me what happened and if I'm okay. I tell her and say I'm okay. She then says "And you are sure you don't need medical attention? I'm sorry I have to ask or we are breaking the rules." I tell her no the skinned knee is already practically healed.

THEN a week later the head honcho over the whole Austin area comes in (we only see him on rare occasions) and tells me good morning... then asks how my knee is while smiling. I wanted to die.

Also; now it is a running joke in the office.
“What screws us up the most in life is the picture in our head of what it's supposed to be.”

Also if your signature makes my scrolling mess up "you're tacky and I hate you."

I had an otherwise normal ex who used to lick my face in public from time to time, and every time he introduced me to others. It was mildly disturbing, and extremely embarrassing.
"This is Cori...I love her." and a long, wet slurp from my jawline to the top of my cheek. I'd apologize and people would just stare for a moment, then proceed to move on to normal conversation.

I asked him why he did that, he'd say "I don't know."
I told him to knock it off, and he'd say "I don't understand....why?"

He'd agree to stop, and then lick me again at some point, breaking yet another no public face-licking promise.

IDK. He didn't seem to be a possessive guy...that's why I found the behavior so baffling.
