Awkward Moments anyone?
#31
RE: Awkward Moments anyone?
Farted incredibly loudly and enthusiastically a few weeks into my first job, and of course my manager came around the corner eight milliseconds later. So there's 17-year-old me, desperately hoping my bumhole has the ability to reverse time as well as rip tears in the fabric of reality. I went so beetroot they could've cooked the burgers on my face...

I've told this story on the boards before......but:

When I first moved to KY I spent alot of time in the Lex Public Library.  Homeless people used it to keep warm.  I was totally -not- minding my own business, peering over a homeless mans shoulder at one of the nternet kiosks...and I saw him on the shamepages, jotting down a phone number that corresponded to an image on the screen of a slightly pudgy, middle aged women in a red teddy who was just looking for love.  Really bad quality photo...where the edges are fuzzy and everything has a slight red glow (I can only assume...from the satin on the teddy).  He pocketed the dewey decimal slip with her number on it and walked off.

I knew, then and there, that he would go down to the shelter, take a shower, grab some threads from the goodwill..... walk to the nearest payphone, and give her a call.

I felt like an intruder on something I had never considered...but must be happening all around me.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

dear god, the way you described it, I almost felt it, yuck.

It was pretty disgusting to me. He thought it was normal, though.

Maybe he was raised by a pack of wolves...literally.
Or was babysat by the family dog as a child.
