But the answer to your question is "no."  The solution is simple.  The candidate can release anything he likes and if he fails to then people are free to draw any conclusions they wish.  I assure you that the conclusions I draw are all negative about that orange piece of shit.

I agree. People who think it's all about racism aren't thinking it through very well. I think some people just like to cry racism at everything they don't like. Can anyone really say that a solid third of the people they know are racists? I doubt it.

It's not even that. People are drawn to populous candidates for different reasons. Because they're promising the easy solutions to their problems. And because they offer even the most lowdown losers the feeling of belonging to a superior group. And that's where racism or bigotry or whatever you want to call it, comes in.

Campaigns like that demand exclusivness. You have to present scapegoats and play to already existing fears. In the case of Trump Mexicans and Muslims. The campaigns of fiigures like that are never based on information, but on exploiting the ignorance of their electorate. The people falling for something like that don't go out of their way to find real statistics and their major sources of information are websites confirming their already existing biasses. And the most common denominator between all these people is fear. In that sense they may not be outspoken racists, but they don't shy away from their candidate broadbrushing entire groups of people as evil either.

After all, that's been Trump's excuse so far: he won't release his tax returns while his audit continues.  Kick that stool out from under him and see if he's true to his word about releasing his information if the audit is not longer happening.

Trump has resisted releasing his returns, saying he is being audited by the IRS. This breaks with the longstanding tradition that presidential candidates release at least some recent tax returns. It's also unclear whether Mike Pence, Trump's running mate who is Indiana's governor, will make his returns public.

Many experts, however, say that being audited doesn't stop Trump from revealing his returns.
