The proverb you quote is correct. However what I was pointing out was that Christ washed the feet of his disciples. He also said

“You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them. it shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

Because, He said such things He was hated and was killed as a criminal.  The most humiliating end. Yet this “Criminals” message lives on.
The call to humility is for all both men and women. The proverb must be taken in the cultural context of the time.
Finally two people who really love each other will only want to do things for each other, no tab is kept, but rather competing with each other in serving the one they love.
Emphasis mine

Well, I agree with that part, for what it's worth.

The call to humility in the context of Christianity has one aspect you should not forget. You are humble only before God, everybody else is equal. However because you are humble before God you respect the people who you believe are doing Gods call. When you take God out of the picture all you have is the everybody is equal story.

So men are doing God's call more than women are, do you think?

Would you agree that the bible is sexist towards women, or not?

That's how you see it. It's not the way I was raised. Like I've stated, I can really only speak from my own experiences.

Unfortunately all religions and ideologies are open to abuse. The story of Christ is God getting killed by the very people that professed to worship Him.

I see the many authors of the Bible as people of their time. In the context of the rest of society at the time the call of the Bible towards women may be progress in the right direction. The evolution of man is from a beast to an angel.

What use has an Almighty God for context?

Would that "everybody is equal" story happen to include the slaves that both the old and new testament were happy to have? The lengthy hit-list of other nations and people that should be killed for disagreeing with the bible? Is it the type of equality that precludes women from holding certain positions of power and mandates their subservience to men?

You've got a very odd idea of equality, if you can read the bible and come to the conclusion that it treats people equally.
