That's one of the last places I'd have thought to actually take the plunge.

(My dad is from Poland, right outside of Youngstown. That place scares me.)

When I attended college in the Pittsburgh PA area we use to drive to Youngstown so we could go to the clubs and drink 3.2 beer, which was all that was allowed if you were at least 18 , but under 21.  We couldn't even do that in Pittsburgh.  It was sorta thriving back then, but declined when the steel and other manufacturing industries died.

Not only is it stupid to be!ieve In intelligent design , it is silly to drive anywhere for 3.2 beer.

We were silly. We were college students.

I actually get what you mean with that one. College is a silly place for silly people. Meaningless shenanigans will ensue. Somehow education happens in the meantime.

I would have done the same.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

RE: Creationism out in Youngstown
I lived in the North Hills of greater Pgh. from 00-09, and have family in greater Cleveland. Had to pass through Youngstown to get there. The city proper is a very chewed up place, but it seemed like there were some rather nice towns around it. Even the edge of YSU seemed OK, but who knows what that school specializes in.

Eastern OH (including NEO) seems like a place with a lot of creatards, but a lot of others that balance them out. Good for Youngstown for setting this precedent. Not sure how other towns like Canfield, Struthers and Boardman (and whatever their school districts are called) are.
