Showboating before you get into endzone.

Showboating before you get into endzone.
You are a compete moron either in college or NFL if you start celebrating before you cross the goal line. Once again, this time in a college clip today, a player thought he had already crossed the line and flicked the ball backwards and it landed on the 1 foot line and then he went in. That is so fucking stupid.

I remember long ago a Dallas Miami clip where the guy held the ball backwards while running to the endzone and a Miami player kocked the ball out of his hands.

JUST GET IN THE ENDZONE first.

In case any professional football players are lurking Atheist forums, hoping, just hoping that one day someone will give them advice on early celebration and call them a moron at the same time.

Are you high?

In college football isn't celebrating before you reach the endzone a penalty? I remember watching a clip of an Australian punter in an American college who did a fake punt and ran for a touchdown, but he put his arms out to the side before he reached the endzone so they called it back. If I recall it's not a rule in Australia so he wasn't aware.

Here's the clip:

I've never understood why people like football, or most sports for that matter.
I understand that everyone has different tastes in the form of entertainment.
Maybe I can glimpse the excitement of competing against other people, being fit and the glory of winning against other opponents.
But what is in it for the crowd in the stadium or the people watching from home?
Is it how well you know the rules, players and speculation of who will win?
How do you pick which side you're cheering for?
What does that side have to do with you?
I'm not judging, by the way.
I wish I liked sport if nothing but for the inclusion.
I just can't get the point.

Thank you for giving me advice on giving advice. It's called bitching, and don't tell me you have never bitched yourself. I simply find it annoying. No it does not affect my life or your life at all, but for fans anyone who is a fan of football DOES hate it when you blow a play over stupid shit. Any fan of that sport can identify with that. It was for them. That is why the post is in the sports section.

It is funny however when it is a player of the apposing team for their fans. But as an objective viewer with no horse in the race when your team isn't playing, it simply is stupid.

No no no, not for the penalty itself, even without the "taunting" rule in this situation, your lack of focus can even cause you to trip or not see someone behind you slap the ball out of your hands.

This is not the clip I saw today, but in this old clip this guy too got ahead of himself thinking he was already in the endzone. I was watching the halftime recaps of the other college games today and somebody else did this similar thing.

I like watching it as an adult because I played it in high school. I can appreciate good technique, strategy, and game-planning. I can also appreciate the astounding athleticism I see displayed.
