Stabbings and explosions

I thought I'd leave it a while and try not to be he first to mention it,I didn't want to further pigeonhole myself as the guy who moans about Islam but there seems to have been a few stabbings and explosions gone on in America that are suspected to be Muslim related.
Anyone see it in the news?
I wonder if the two things are related.
Thankfully no deaths amazingly, except for the terrorist thankfully they shot down the Islamic terrorist.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

I heard about the explosion in New York, reported to be "intentional" but they're not sure if it's "terrorism".
I'm not sure how that would work, myself. Seems by definition that an anonymous bomb is intended to incite terror in folks.

Exactly, If it was intentional then it is terrorism, whether it is linked to religion or not.

I think they have to check the skin tone colour chart of the people who did it before deciding if its terrorism.

Exactly, on both counts.

Wrong, wrong and wrong.
Terrorism is the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political goals. The fact that someone blew up a bomb intentionally doesn't tell anything about their motives for doing so, so we cannot establish whether it was terrorism or not as of yet.

Well terrorism or not the stabbing seems to definitely be related to Islam. The bombing being similar to the Boston bombing makes me think it's a similar sort of motivation. Have to wait and see though.

That would make it terrorism. In its widest sense, terrorism is concerned with ideology and religion as well, in addition to politics.

Determining if a particular act is or is not terrorism reminds me of the classic complaint about pornography: 'I can't define it, but I know it when I see it.'

Two bombs within 83 miles of each other, and an undetonated third (pressure-cooker variety) four blocks from the first. Figure it out for yourself.
Maybe someone was doing it for shits and giggles, I guess. But I wouldn't lay money on it.
