Translation: You believe it because you want to and because it suits your ego to think that there is some super sky-daddy who gives a rat's ass about you.
I can't really see where it harms anyone but yourself but please understand that you are not convincing.

Im pretty sure God exists. The reason why I accept Christianity of Paganism is the evidence, that Jesus rose and died again. One has to take a small leap of faith and claim, 'Jesus is Lord.'
But the evidence for the existence of other dieties is just a strong and most of it pre dates Christianity. I know a lot of Christians claim that the evidence for Jesus is stronger, but it really isn't. There are as far as we know no historical works that have been unadulterated with later christian interpolations, and the over zealous copies of the gospels. None offer eye witness accounts of a figure who died at least 30 to 60 years before they wrote anything. They wrote with a political motive and proselytising agenda to 'spread the word', esp after the demise of the first post Jesus movement, which was an orthodox and wholly Jewish sect led by family members (those who knew the Jesus figure). This original group would have considered it heresay to claim Jesus as a god. The same is seen in the koran as it gets increasingly strident with later writings.
Where is the hard data that backs up the Christian faith as having more of a truth claim that Hinduism. I would suspect that you have just found the prevailing religion of your culture and if you map the world religions out on a globe thats exactly what you find. If the evidence was as clear cut as you suggest all historians and most of us would be Christian...and guess what we ain't!
