Saw Exodus and Obituary earlier this year. First gig since I saw Electric Six three years ago.

This fits more into what they refer to as proto-metal, all sorts of influences mostly late 70's rock movements:
I am John Cena's hip-hop album.

I've heard it best described as surf rock from hell.
I am John Cena's hip-hop album.

The concert last night was fucking brutal. 6 bands, 2 were heavy, 1 metal core, 2 Death Metal and 1 Thrash Metal band. I was banging my head until we formed a circle of head bangers that went back and forth from being a mosh pit. I never expected to have such a great time. By time the last band come out I was done. XD My body was like no more but my mind was like more and now I'm feeling the effect of that but it was fucking worth it. I loved it.

Holiday advice:
Go right now and create a Pandora channel with 'Gary Hoey (Holiday)'. Tis the season. Not everything will be metal, but it's darker and you have a 90% chance of hearing a distorted guitar. Right now Pandora is playing J.J. Hrubovcak's version of 'Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies'. Just before was 'I am Santa Claus' to the music of 'Iron Man'. I've heard Twisted Sister, Blackmail, Sister Hazel, Satriani, Rob Halford, etc.
Cheers
