It just hasn't grabbed me. I'm also reading a TIME magazine edition about mindfulness and Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg.

I mean, what did you expect reading a play?

I've read plenty of plays that I've enjoyed, stage and screen. It's not dreadful. It's just weird and stilted.

Just finished reading Franzen's "The Corrections".  Enjoyed it, didn't love.

Funny how certain characters become animated in my mind's eye when reading a novel.  In this book when reading dialog by the oldest son Gary I always heard him as Hank from "King of the Hill" while the mom I heard as Edith Bunker.

I don't know why you'd do that, but hey. I mean novels are there for a reason, plays are for watching Smile

/sorry for pointing out the obvious, lol

I guess you must be a big HP fan, right? I'm currently rereading the books. I'm nearing the end of The Chamber of Secrets.

It might be because I'm a writer, but I've never been bothered reading a play. I mean, someone has to read it at some point, right? Also, a lot of historic plays are read and studied.

Love Harry Potter. Rereading them is such a blast, isn't it? I used to do it every time a new movie came out, but Fantastic Beasts isn't part of the main story line, so I'm going to pass this time. I've got to reread the Dark Tower series before the movie comes out.

Just started my annual re-listen of "The Night Circus".

It's basically one of the most beautiful books I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. Jim Dale is shiver-inducing.

I purchased that a few months ago. I haven't got around to reading it yet, but it's on my short list.

I'm also reading some non-fiction right now.

Bostrom's Superintelligence and Tegmark's Our Mathematical Universe.

Yeah, I'm still contemplating getting fired up for this month. I'm in the middle of a short story collection right now, so I won't be able to finish a book like I did my first year, but as long as you write 50,000 words, you're technically a winner.
