Great. Thanks on behalf of every decent human being.
As far as noone helping goes, I never had that experience. I came to quite a lot of accidents, both professionally when I worked the emergency services and in private. There were always people there trying to help. Even when a drunken bum got hit in the streets. Which probably stretches the sympathy of quite a few people to the limits.
Now I've seen various documentaries and reports on people standing idle when somethin bad happens to others. But that's not my personal experience.

That is just wonderful! You did a great thing and I'm sure that man is very thankful for you... well you or god depending on his level of crazy. Either way he was lucky you are a great person!

We are trying to find out if the cyclist is OK. Sadly we don't know his name, only the hospital he was taken to.

Thank you all so much for the accolades.
I didn't even think about it, I kind of saw it or off the corner of my eye. I jumped out of my car about 30 feet away in the middle of the street and ran to him. I was expecting the cyclist to get up and brush himself off and start yelling at the driver.
It was a bloody scene, I held pressure on the wound with my son's shirt. A witness gave me his hoodie also. He started becoming conscious just as paramedics arrived.
I just talked to him softly and tried to keep him still and calm and slow his breathing. Some people were there standing around. I was really only focused on him.

I feel a connection to him but haven't been able to get any information. I believe I need to get the police report to get his name. The hospital couldn't tell me anything and wouldn't get a note to him. Only having a birth year was the problem.

I want to see him again, not like that. I kept replaying it and seeing his face in my mind eye.... That has faded now though.
