Who was the first to light a fart?

RE: Who was the first to light a fart?
Though it was surely flaunted by flatunauts before him, most scholars agree it was popularized by the Greek Thracian gladiator turned war revolt leader, Farticus. On a steady diet of beans and broccoli he would taunt and frighten his enemies with fireballs from a brown dwarf star.

It was later that William Wallace improved upon the technique from fire bending to bolts of lighting from his arse.

/poetic license.

Well hell, Gary sure must get around. He taught me jeans only, no nylon/orlon.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

I strongly suspect that it was the same person who coined the phrase, 'Dude...hold my beer and watch THIS!'

that medieval torture/execution method where a red hot poker is rammed up the ass would have been hot enough to ignite any gas present, although in the rest of the panoply of effects in it's employ, detonation of some gas might have seemed inconsequential.

It was shown on that costume drama on HBO about Henry VIII

As an execution method, it was seen as a plus in that the pain was excruciating, and if a bushing was used (I believe a hollow section of horn was used) there would be no visible marks on the corpse.

Attention to detail is very important.

Indeed.

I suppose the boiling water douche/enema was similarly appealing . . .
