Samsung Galaxy Note 7 banned from US flights

RE: Samsung Galaxy Note 7 banned from US flights
I'm not of the handheld generation. For some reason my brother, 15 years my senior, is.

If I have a phone, I use it for phoning. I don't give a shit over the apps it's running and what they can do, since my finger aren't up to typing on that small screen anyway and my eyes aren't getting better either the older I get. So, if I go all fancypants, I use the big screen of my desktop.

There was a bloody good reason as to why a jailbreak was created for the iPhone in the first place. It is a shit piece of machinery that served its purpose on the day of its release. However, all the versions since have been the updates to the iOS and the applications. This is comparable to something like Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 etc. It evolves, but very few new things are added.

Still running 2007. It accepts and saves the words I type in which is all that I really need in a text processor.

Try LibreOffice.

It's free.

I loved my Note 3 for the last few years, but I'm glad I decided to get a Samsung Galaxy 7 instead of Note this time around.

Good man!!! I am still using 2007 too. The only things that have changed since that version are the visual style and perhaps a few more formulas and array formulas.

"It won't happen to me."

I heard on the news today that 3 US airlines are putting fire suppression bags on their planes in case a phone starts a fire. I think all airlines should do that.

I fly several times a week, and have had the same thought. They just tell you to turn it off for the duration of the flight, and don't charge it. Not a lot of faith in people. Every body in every seat has at least one phone; I happen to have two, and I see that a lot.

Rocking an Oukitel K6000 Pro here. Does everything I need it to do, decent specs/camera, MONSTROUS battery life...and costs around 1/5 the price of the big brands. Never looked back Tongue

At least when my face is buried in my iPad I'm usually reading a book. (And I don't know why I bother leaning over the screen anymore)
