I don't consider him to be as reliable with the facts as "The Daily Show."

There's a German equivalent to the Daily Show - rather a weekly edition like the british "Mock the week".

Yes, they're reporting on facts too. Giving them a comical spin. Sometimes at a surprising level of disrespect. At one time they mocked some Bavarian conservative politician by mounting his head onto the male lead of some 70ies softporn flick to give him the appearance of rubbing tits while giving his speech on tradition and christian values.
