As you asked in the OP...don't you have anything better to do? Reading up on a religion you don't subscribe to then bitching about that religion's rules in a place where very few of the religion's adherents will see your complaint is pretty pointless.

As others have noted, it's a voluntary relationship. If people don't want to be Catholic, they don't have to be. If people want to call themselves Catholic but cherry pick what parts they follow, they can do that too.

What difference does it make to you? Are you just pissed off that people listen to churches, but no one listens to you?

I'd much rather people listened to the intelligent AF forum member that is BrianSoddingBoru4 than listen to those stupid fucking buildings called "churches".

Yeeep. Bit odd, no doubt - it's just trying to underline the part of the creed that goes "I look forward to the Resurrection of the dead."

I don't see how keeping ashes in one's home is that bad or necessarily goes against that, or even scattering ashes really. "Remember man that thou are dust, and unto dust thou shalt return."

Just some old fogies failing at what the Catholic Church has been failing at since it started, trying to make sure every believer understand every doctrine of the faith inside out.
