Then you need to learn what "contradiction" means, Frods. I doubt that he was "born" at all but one book asserting a birth prior to 4 BC and another setting a date shortly after 6 AD means that the two books "contradict" each other.

Period.

Did you ever consider why the conflicting information was included Min? Surely it would have been better to do what the muslims did and destroy it and re-write it a bit?

Yes. Arrogance.

For 1500 years they didn't have to worry about such stuff....they could just declare anyone who pointed it out a heretic and burn them at the stake.

We need to hope that xtians never regain that power.

Quote:(Reuters) - Saudi Arabia's most revered cleric said in a rare fatwa this week that two writers should be tried for apostasy for their "heretical articles" and put to death if they do not repent.

Sheikh Abdul-Rahman al-Barrak was responding to recent articles in al-Riyadh newspaper that questioned the Sunni Muslim view in Saudi Arabia that adherents of other faiths should be considered unbelievers.

"Anyone who claims this has refuted Islam and should be tried in order to take it back. If not, he should be killed as an apostate from the religion of Islam," said the fatwa, or religious opinion, dated March 14 and published on Barrak's Web site.

Give xtians this kind of power and you'd quickly see more similarities between the two!

.

They should consider themselves lucky. The Catholic Church would have threatened to burn them at the stake if they didn't repent. If they did, they wouldn't be spared. They would, however, receive forgiveness and be shown the mercy of being strangled to death prior to their bodies being burned at the stake.

DBP & Min neither of which make any sense at all. Citing the anti Christian atrocities of the middle ages is irrelevant, and that is precisely why Islam differs so much. It condones immorality.

Oh, Frods, stop it. We don't want to go back to what you see as the good old days of xtian scumbags burning witches and heretics.

They need to be prevented from getting the kind of power that the imams have.

You fail to see so many points, Frods. It's a recurrent problem of yours.

I fail to see how non Christian acts of Christians harms the Christian ideal sure. If that's your argument then I consider that a non argument. You're going to have to do a lot better.
