Similarities between Islam and Christianity

RE: Similarities between Islam and Christianity
Fixed this for you, Theo.

Quote:You can prove rationalize anything by the Bible if you simply use isolated statements without considering their context. If you want to understand memorize the Bible you need to study all of it.

The problem with "studying" it is that when you are done all you have studied is a worthless collection of ancient bullshit.

I thought the whole "Eric Carter" thing was edited in for North American audiences? Just like Raymond Burr with the original.

That is true, and in fact there were more scenes altered for the US version, but the endings themselves are not different.

Reading Matthew and Paul's epistles cover to cover really indicates multiple schools of thought on salvation:

Matthew was the most Jewish of any of the Gospels and he clearly comes down on the side of "keep the commandments" and "exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees".

Paul was on the other extreme, that by faith people are saved.

Revelation, the earliest of the Christian documents, has salvation determined by who was "written in the book of life" and that such entries were "according to their works".
