I just realized how scary muslims are, not just islam, but muslims.
The majority of my family believes that gays should be stoned, adulterers should be killed, pictures of Muhammad should stop being drawn.
If the other half of my family finds out I'm atheist I'd be disowned (I've said this before) and it's really scary.
They're fine with my friends being lesbian or gay and shit but they don't like it.
They felt as though the Orlando shootings were fine and right.
When I read out to my mum that it says in the quran women are one degree lower then men she agreed. I mean sure, most men are smarter and stronger than women but it straight out demeans them with no remorse. But okay fine. That is correct from a biological position. Not that Islam acknowledges biology, evolution, or even the scientific method but okay. Lets forget that for a moment.
Now I've read out to my mum, calmly, the part of the Quran that states infidels should be killed, there's no marital rape, women who have been captured in war may be raped etc.
And you know what?
She either straight out denied it (even though its the quran SHE BOUGHT) or said I didn't read it in context, even though I spoke parts of Arabic.
And it's not just her, it's my Islamic teacher. He denies evolution and literally said "I believe in Islam from BLIND FAITH".
HE FUCKING SAID BLIND FAITH.
Jesus, give me the fucking edgy bleach.

Christian extremists believe the same kind of stuff. It's not just muslims. Religion extremism is screwed up. We've been dragging christianity into the modern age, and eventually islam will be dragged there too. Neither side is going willingly.

All radical religious idiots do that. Just today the Israeli government had to appologise to the Italian government for one of their deputy minsters saying that the earthquakes were god's punishment for some UNESCO sanctions on Jerusalem.
They're all the same, and if they had the way, a world of piss would be the result.

Stop looking at the masses to teach you God's religion.
Settle down, think. Put Quran aside for now.
Go into deep reflection, ask the necessary questions, seek evidence and proofs to those questions.
Relax, take it easy, the journey is fun, and when you start battling for your soul, it's fun.
