If you're sober, you did it, not some magical sky fairy.

This is still new for her. Nothing is written in stone. Plus, she may turn out to be an amazing theist. Don't be negative.

Who cares? If that's what works for her and she has found peace/strength in it, let her be. She's fighting a hard fight and just needs support now.

Exactly. Gem is, by everything I've read of hers here, a very thoughtful person. Myself, I'm of the mind that sobriety is more important -- of course, I'm a pragmatist. A saying in the AA group I stuck with for a while went, "There are many ways up the mountain. As long as you keep stepping, you'll get to the top."

I'm not being negative and I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I applaud anyone who finds their way to sober living, and I know that their path most likely ain't mine. Smile
