I think of it this way. If you're getting some on a regular basis and you're accustomed to spicy and adventurous, then vanilla can seem like a let down in the same way that I'd feel let down to go to an allegedly fine restaurant only to discover that tater tot casserole is the only dish on the menu. But if you're starving, that casserole would probably be the best damn meal you've ever had.
I could use some fucking casserole.

I would feel about ten years older if someone were to call me daddy. Even though i'm ten years older than what i appear to be.

I quite like vanilla, it's comforting, and makes me appreciate the more varied flavours when I get 'em all the more. Don't really care if others find that boring, there's only one other person whose opinion matters in this regard. And he's not complaining, although he does moan quite a bit...
