I was really into Project Gotham on the original XBox. When I realized I could rip my cds onto that thing and listen to my tunes while I played, I wasted months of my life. I still can't hear any Shadows Fall from the time without wanting to play Project Gotham.

Custom soundtracks on consoles was the hypest shit. No wonder it died within a generation.

Games from '99-2000 are vintage now? Then what do you call all these old DOS games I have on my laptop? And all these racing games I play on the Apple II emulator?

I had some formula one game on my apple Mac plus. Probably still on it's hard drive. I haven't fired that rig up for more than 18 years by now. But it's still safely stored for the time when someone is paying me a tidy sum for that antiquity. Perhaps in another ten years or so.

I had this for my C64.

I've got an Indy 500 game I used to love playing all the time just to try to wreck out all the other cars. It was fun watching the replay and seeing the pileups.

Back in the '70s there was a Road Runner arcade game at the supermarket where we got our groceries. I played that one every chance I got, zigzagging in and out of traffic and then flipping over onto the shoulder of the road in slow motion when I crashed.
