☢The Theistic Response➼ to Atheists saying, "It Doesn't mean God Did it"
RE: ☢The Theistic Response➼ to Atheists saying, "It Doesn't mean God Did it"
How the fuck could I "forget" someone we weren't talking about? Jeez, your social skills are as much a joke as your comprehension. Hovind was mentioned because he was cited as an authority. He isn't, at least not a credible one.

As for Ken Ham, he is from the same stock as both Hovinds, Roger Pendleton, Jason Lisle, Ray Cumfart, "Two Citations" Craig and so on. Preachers with either store bought degrees or degrees in nominally-relevant fields to lend verisimilitude, and a vested interest in lying to the gullible. They are not doing any research, they do not advance our understanding of anything. All they do is piss in the fountain of human knowledge while growing fat off the flock.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If you think about it, just because most people think creationist scientists are wrong doesn't mean they are actually wrong right? How do you know they are wrong? Have you looked at what they said?

I don't think that any idea is validated by a majority vote, so to speak. Or vice versa. Creationist science is absolutely retarded. That's why I think it's wrong.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll

Well, you could start by comparing what they say with what the actual scientific literature says. See, they are not scientists for creation; some may have nominally-relevant scientific credentials, eg astronomy for Jason Lisle, but at most they are scientists against the scientific evidence. You don't win your case by trying to deride your opponents'. You do it, surprisingly, by actually establishing and supporting a case.

Creationist science is an oxymoron. I haven't read all this so someone probably already said that Tongue

Thanks very much Smile I'm robvalue on YouTube if you want to check out any more of my stuff. It's a mixture of serious videos and stupid comedy videos.

I do hope Pete watches it, along with anyone else who thinks evolution is about one animal giving birth to another. If that actually happened, it would cut a massive hole right through the middle of the Theory of Evolution.

@Joker

Even if that was true, which clearly it isn't, it makes no difference. Ham is still a shameless, manipulative liar for the creationist agenda. Truth is not decided by popular opinion or a slick line in rhetoric. It's discovered by actually putting in the work, painstakingly measuring your ideas against reality. Ham and his cronies have never done that. In fact, whenever the truth value of their proclamations has been assessed, they swear blind that it's reality that's wrong.
