I do feel sorry for you. You sound like an average decent person who's opened himself to every conceivable form of abuse imaginable by worshipping a make-believe deity, but worse still, this god is characterised as a complete immoral monster who is unworthy of respect or reverence even if it actually existed.

Also, I'd like to point out your all-too obvious logical contradiction in that an all-powerful ghost who does not want or need anyone from you is essentially impossible to serve. Oh Noez! ;_;

To be a little more pedantic.

When a person asserts "I'm certain there is a God" or "I know there's a God", he/she is asserting a personal certitude, not any kind of meaningful certainty. Such assertions remain subject to demands for evidence and to examination using the tools of logic. The same goes for the hard atheist,who asserts "there is no god"

So far,no one has provided any evidence for or falsification of the existence of gods. Nor has any argument for been presented which has not been thoroughly refuted.

The Abrahamic religions make many absolute clams, about God and within their moral codes.However,neither scientists nor academics generally make claims of absolute truth(s). Nor in my opinion does any rational person.

I do NOT assert that there are no absolute truths.l assert only that I don't know of any. I cannot think of any question or topic which is closed to further enquiry; it's my belief that cannot happen if it is accepted there is an absolute truth contained within the answer to any question

If did choose to believe in a god I certainly wouldn't choose to believe in the mentally challenged incompetent fool portrayed in the bible.

What a loser!
