If you believe there is no "God" that is called a belief system. You don't have a monthly social event, but this forum in itself is a social place where you discuss what you feel.
I am sorry if some of you got burnt in church and the situation turned u against God and disbelieving his existence but God is real and He loves you, died on the cross to forgive you of your sins. Turn to him and trust him and he will even save an atheist lol. God bless you all and keep the encouraging comments coming I respect each and everyone

God can go shove a fork up his ass. And thank you.

Well ,no,actually,it isn't. It's called "a positive claim" ,or a premise. It does not constitute a belief system.

.I have never made such a claim ,neither have most of the people on this forum.

We assert only"I do not believe" That's a belief system the way that 'off 'is a TV channel and not collecting stamps is a hobby.

You seem to be using the term 'belief system' in way which will allow you to define atheism as a life stance, religion, philosophy, world view or ideology. That atheism is none of those things has already been explained to you. Is there something you don't understand?

In stating I do not believe,I need prove nothing, That honour belongs to those making claims, such as "There is a God" and " I believe there is a God".

My position: Either provide evidence for your claims or stop wasting my time and go away.I for one have no interest in your personal superstitions

A wild guess,is English not your first language? Are you Muslim? You have the flavour of someone who has spent a lot of time at a Madrassa.

I really should jump into these things sooner.

The primary reason is that the world makes far more sense without such irrational beliefs.
Further, I don't need to believe and nor do I really want to. I'm much happier living my life as I see fit.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925

Oh really. Care to name what it is I have faith in?

But I don't "believe there is no god". I'm not claiming that god doesn't exist. I lack belief in god's existance. You don't need faith for that as I have already mentioned before.
I'm not claiming he doesn't exist because I don't know that. Which is pretty much why I'm an 'agnostic atheist'.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Ok number one: why so hostile? Number two how am I wasting your time? You chose to waste your own time by replying. Listen to say there is no God is making an absolute statement. That's like saying there is no gold in China. You would have to know everything about China go into every mine shaft etc. But if I found 1 peice of Gold in China I could say, there is Gold in China. You have made an absolute statement. You must have all knowlege of everything in the universe to make a statement like that. You all pretend like your the "there is no God" expert. You say prove there is a God, and I say prove that there isn't a God! Until next time.

No, we just acknowledge that there is no objective evidence of god/gods.

Though it is a fairly safe bet that the god of the bible/quran is pure fiction.

I can only speak for myself, but I do not claim that there is no god. I only claim that I do not believe that there is a god. Just as you cannot say, with intellectual honesty, that there is a god... only that you believe there is. Get it now?

Also...

That is preaching and is expressly against the rules. Be careful with that. <-- (friendly advice)

RE: why not believe in God!
ibelieve04142000, Who the fuck are you replying too? You are obviously skipping quite a few posts that demonstrates that belief in no god and lack of belief are too very differant things.
You haven't even tried to refute them, you haven't even replied to a single post, I don't think you've even bothered to read them. All you have done is repeat yorself.

Do you have a point to make/argument to back up or not?

This is why I became agnostic.

Also...it is technically impossible to disprove the existence of a God, but wayyy too easy to disprove every single religion on Earth. You're religion is false sir! If a God(s) does exist, then he has never had anything to do with us(Earth) There is a lot of evidence for us to come to the conclusion that whatever happened on Earth from the beginning on happened by cause of nature and not super-nature.

I DO NOT disprove the existence of a God(s) I mean, there could be something we would consider all-powerful living on another planet for all we know. But your God and his religion that follows is terribly wrong.
