No I don't believe anyone who doesn't follow the golden rule is evil. I think sometimes following the golden rule is immoral.

When people use the term "hold the door open", do they mean holding it open behind them after they've already gone through it or do they mean opening it from the outside and waiting for the person to go through before them? Because I do the former for everyone (not just women) and I don't really do the latter (except for people who have a ton of shit in their hands and can't hold the door themselves.)

No lol, I just meant generally speaking. When some fucker stops to do things for me they often just slow me down and make me feel condescended.

I hold doors open for other people because most people like it and I'm not slow as fuck, hehe. People thank me. I'm nice and non-sanctimonious about it.
