Gender Roles

RE: Gender Roles
It depends what the task is really. If it's something mental, or physical, or artistic, or inspirational, or challenging, or complicated, or important, then men are better at it. If it's buying more clothes than are necessary or moving things from one pile of stuff to another for no apparent reason, then call in the B squad.

That sentiment keeps guys in check more than women know. I'm no men's rights activist but certainly both genders are different and have their struggles. Our real goal is to allow people to be who they are regardless of their genders or sex and try to create a society that will nurture people even if they deviate from the norms.

"What is normal anyway?"

Well, you see how I am typing this with my dick INSIDE my pants...

I can perform minor repairs on cars, took welding in school, am pretty tall, swear like a trucker and have been called a lesbian more times than I can count.

In reference to the OP, I don't think it should be 50/50, either. I think it should be however the people in the relationship want it to be. Maybe a woman or man doesn't want to learn to protect themselves or sew a blanket. Who cares? I do a lot of more traditionally male things around our house. We are nowhere near 50/50 when it comes to gender roles. We just kind of do what comes naturally to us.

Or observational, or abstract, or unique, or time dependent, or practical, or multi-tasking. I forgot a few.

People say men and women are different purely to justify promiscuity and cheating in men.

Evolutionary psychology says that men evolved to seek a variety of fertile, young, attractive women for sex.  Fine.

Then women evolved to seek one wealthy, older, protective alpha male!!

But now if a woman seeks that out, she's accused of being a "gold digger" or a "sugar baby."

Women have been shamed out of their natural role.

At best, they have to use tame words like "secure," "financially stable," or even just "ambitious."  At worst, they can't be remotely shallow or logistical and have to just love the person on the inside.

Meanwhile men can still use loaded words like "beautiful" or "gorgeous."  They can be complete dogs (not saying all men are, just that they're allowed to be).  They can say "no fatties" but you can't say "no losers" otherwise, people will say "who are you to call anyone a loser?"

So we should rise above evolution then and just split everything down the middle.  50-50.  Both be breadwinners.  Women learn to protect themselves.  And let women have a variety of sexual partners and still be marriage material.

You're babbling bullshit if you think it's more acceptable for a man to say no fatties but a woman can't say she won't date losers.

If I go around my workplace now openly saying no fatties or shit like that I'll get very unpopular quick.
What do you even mean that men are allowed to but women aren't? Is there a law?
A woman saying no losers is pretty common.
You're talking a lot but not saying anything.
Rising above evolution means nothing.
If our brains evolve a certain behaviour because of ideas that's evolution. Our behaviours are evolution, a part of it.
Men and women have traditional roles for a reason, because it's helped survival for hundreds of thousands of years.
Not that there's no lots of deviations from this throughout history.
Women can get pregnant and men can't.
That's a big difference and a reason for some of the traditional roles men and women have.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Here is a similar study though: Lesbians respond differently to human pheromones

I'm the female version of Vor.  I do not find any human male attractive.  The smell of male sweat literally makes me gag.  I rarely had any negative reaction to "sweaty female" though.

Wow.  As far as you know, ALL sweaty men smell alike to you ?

It is amazing to me how different my male relatives smell compared to all other men.

I visited the zoo in August when I was a little girl.  The "great ape house" was not air-conditioned.  All males smell like that house to me.  -- Even my brother, who I love dearly.

Yeah, you got it, you be you!

I hope you quoted me because you realized that I agree with you.

It would be better if we didn't use gender roles to fuck with each other. In my house we try to do what we are good at. I do much of the cooking, my wife hates cooking! I hate laundry so she does that. Quite often she will ask me to do the fixing stuff around the house and I ask her if a penis is required for the task. It is kind of a joke but we both realize how old fashioned we can be. "Penis task" is my way of saying, "You are only asking me to do this thing because of socially established norms. If you were really a feminist you would get the drill and hang that thing yourself." Whatever, as long as shit gets done.

Plus I dance as gracefully as a swan!
