An invitation to debate.

RE: An invitation to debate.
It's also an anagram of "Hi scone castle!"

You know, like when you talk to a big plate of scones. I guess that's what he was going for.

Wonder when his last MSE was.

Catholic Lady,

Why am I not surprised with your comment?  This is because in how I speak uses logic, reason, and biblical axioms, whereas you being a Catholic,
are not used to this type of talk.  lol

.

Hi - atheist here (also Emperor of the Cosmos, but I'm hardly one to brag), you definitely talk funy.

Catholic Lady,

If you're talking about me, and why shouldn't you, you've obviously found my manly pictures on the internets, yes?
This happens all the time where I am burdened by a "plethora" of women throwing themselves
at me once they find out about my modus operandi.

I am sorry to inform you, but I have many Sisters of Eve in waiting, but I can put you on an extensive list
if you want to see if you get lucky in the future.  Let me know, because it fills up quickly.

There were instances were both side of the argument were true.

Any takers, feel free to jump in!  I would ask, however, that this thread be limited to debate only and without extended commentary, especially, on other topics.

OK. This could be interesting.

You're an intelligent poster who would certainly be capable of calling me out on the weak parts of my argument. An example of my rule of thumb that the quality of the debate is in inverse proportion to the level of impoliteness.

Also, I note that I wouldn't have to be dealing with Mythical Jesus nonsense (etc.) in discussion with you. We can get down to the serious debate without wasting time.

However:

Could you set up the thing someone said where only we can post? It would be nice to have a real discussion rather than deal with drive-by clowns dropping one liners.

I'm only going to be posting sporadically, because of commitments**. If this doesn't work for you, or another Xian with time on their hands comes forward, feel free to not take me up.

Could you clarify the bit after the word “dead” in the title, because I'm not understanding it too well. Perhaps just replace it with a question mark?

**Since you ask, I'm trying to get a ministry going of getting limbs to grow back through the power of prayer. It's not going well.

Now that we know how self absorbed you are we need not bother speaking with you who will never realize how wrong you are.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Jehenne,

HOLY COW BATMAN, you have pseudo-christian that is willing to be hoisted upon their own petard!  Take it!

As you've noticed, Vicky Q is leaving an insidious way out by stating; "I'm only going to be posting sporadically, because of commitments**. If this doesn't work for you,….."
where this is the normal MO of a pseudo-christian when the biblical axioms start pouring down upon them, they have a way out to try and save face.

It is understood that only the two of you should be in the actual debate thread, BUT, we can make comments to the debate in the peanut gallery in this thread !

The debaters could check in once and awhile to this thread to see if they want to use our "plethora" of material relative to their debate at the time, or the least of which, they can view how we think of their sandcastles of speculation, whereas they should think about changing their directions!  lol

Jehanne, please say you'll accept her proposals!  Atheists need more pseudo-christian comedy!

Typical. Catholics with their squishy soft brains falling for the first charmer they come across...

IKR? Just like that I'm not flavour of the month anymore. Again.

It's okay...
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

RE: An invitation to debate.
Century, I am going to attempt to do this for you because I care. We must all care about one another as Jesus cared about us.

I have an important message for you. And it is this:

You need to come out of the darkness and into the light. I sense much disturbance in you. And the disturbance IS evil itself. It is due not only to a lack of God in your heart, but a very deep contempt towards Him, the Master of Truth.

I would like to encourage you to purge this demon that resides in the deep crevices of your heart. Once you have come to realize your deep desire for The Truth, come and find me. I shall help you.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
