I didn't mention any particular story. But all the "God" characters are stupid.
My opinion of the characters has no bearing on whether they come to life.

If you were to go back several years, it would be fair to say I had some doubt then. Interestingly enough, the thing that convinced me to absolute certainty was watching the believers here desperately trying to justifying their belief in God and failing magnificently.
