The word we use sounds a bit like "poom". Better?

I know the word pum, since I know Portuguese. It is a bit better than the word fart.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

We would laugh at you if you got upset over soda, fridge, or couch in our parts. That or you would be in constant irritation cause those are every day words.

Im from Louisiana, and it's a coke, an ice box and a sofa.

Though there is also the word peido which sounds terrible.

RE: Trigger Words
Although coke is better than pop... Still would hand you a coke if you said that. Soda is more universal. I'm not risking actually getting Coca-Cola by saying just coke to a waitress.

What's funny is you can go to a restaurant down here and the waitress will ask what you want to drink, (usually the options are water, tea, lemonade, soft drinks or alcohol) and if you want a soft drink everyone says I want a coke, and the waitress will then ask what kind of coke. Then you either say coke, dr. Pepper, sprite, any other soft drink they offer.

"#3" to me is ejaculation. A little different than fart.

I love the word fart. It's a wonderful, cathartic word.

Coke is either Coca-Cola, cocaine or that intermediate product of steel manufacture.

When referring to soda, Coke is a specific request. Go into a restaurant in NYC and ask for an orange coke and see how fast they kick your ass out. Get the fuck out, they'd say. Get the fuck out of here and never come back.

Icebox is what they called refrigerators before electric motors. To call it that is historically inaccurate.

A couch is what you have. A sofa is what your grandma has.

SO THERE.
