It's the same with health insurance. An ER visit costs around $1,000. People without health insurance will end up taking their kid to the ER because they have to treat people in the ER. But if they had health insurance, they could go to a regular doctor for around $100. And guess who pays for the extra $900 for the ER visit: we do.

This does not fix stupid. Non emergency patients show up at the ER, regardless of insurance coverage.

Yeah Obama did some nice things but the banks that where bailed out are bigger than before the financial crash. Also, a war on whistle blowers, which Reporters With Borders cities as as the main reason for declining press freedom in America. Yes press freedom in America has declined under Obama, never mind Trump.
Plus he's a fiorgein policy nightmare. His friends in Saudi, with his military assurance (US ships have been firing weapons into the country) continue to treat the Yemen as a province rather than an independent country, Israel keeps building more settlements on Palestinian land, hr has turned a blind eye to his friends al-Saud and al-Thsmi supporting DAESH, his friends Turkey continues to butcher Kurds. Endless war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama has bombed Lybia, Somalia, Syria, the Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan. He has people shoot the families of terrorists all the time too. And yet he had a Nobel Peace Prize.

Like I said in another thread, right wing second coming. The man accomplished the sorts of thing that conservative nutballs have only been dreaming abut for decades, and all of it while they strongly opposed his policies..and at times, his very existence, lol.

You -do- pay for stupid, regardless of whether or not you should, and regardless of who your provider is...regardless of who you go through to get to that provider. We all do, you're not exactly being singled out, lol. We'll all continue to pay for stupid so long as human beings draw breath....and ofc, lets not pretend that you and I aren't costing someone with our stupidity, from time to time, or..in the case of healthcare costs, pretty much all of the time.
