How to debunk the resurrection?...

Just point out the fact that in their own bible, IT EVEN SAYS that people back then "didn't believe."

...Let me repeat that...

People back then, who knew who Jesus was... knew that he died... Did not believe that Jesus resurrected.

That would be like me saying that George Carlin hasn't come back from the dead, after I see him crawl out of his grave and do some more stand up on HBO.
I like the way you think!

What has not believing the claim that "if you hold a gun to your head, you'll become immortal and receive billions of dollars when you pull the trigger," done for you?

I've read that, those who were hostile to Christ during his life would have had no reason to steal his body, that the Romans would not have, and that his disciples-who seem confused about his saying that he had to die and rise again-would not have stolen the body because they didn't expect Christ to rise again.

I know about "The Lost Tomb of Jesus" film, but I've read that it's used sloppy methods and is generally unreliable. Any good books, or films, would be helpful to me, though.

I think the fact that people don't usually rise from the dead places the burden of proof squarely on the person making the claim. So there is really nothing you need do. You don't have to disprove Zeus or Thor or any other farfetched claim, so what is so special about the resurrection?

Blame Hitchens, Dawkins & Harris...

Simcha Jacobovici is a con artist.

http://en.academic.ru/dic.nsf/enwiki/5178116

Quote:Following the media's portrayal scholars present at the symposium accused Simcha Jacobovici and James Cameron for misleading the media in claiming the symposium reopened their theory as viable. Several scholars, including significantly all of the archaeologists and epigraphers, who had delivered papers at the symposium issued an open letter of complaint claiming misrepresentation, saying that Jacobovici and Cameron's claims of support from the symposium are "nothing further from the truth"

And

Quote:Israeli archaeologist Amos Kloner, who was among the first to examine the tomb when it was first discovered, said the names marked on the coffins were very common at the time."I don't accept the news that it was used by Jesus or his family," he told the BBC News website."The documentary filmmakers are using it to sell their film.

That could be because

2 Corinthians 11

32
At Damascus, the governor under King Aretas guarded the city of Damascus, in order to seize me,
33
but I was lowered in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped his hands.

Aretas III ruled Damascus from c 84 - 64 BC. Whoever (probably Marcion) compiled this bullshit under the name of "Paul" didn't seem to know much about Judaean history in the first centuries BC and AD. Probably because Marcion was from Sinope in Asia Minor.
