Well it's a rumor that's not backed up by anything solid. That Russia has a tape of Trump in Russia engaging in Golden Showers with prostitutes.

BTW, it doesn't seem people really know what 'pander' means anymore. It's not a good thing.
From Wiki:
Pandering is the act of expressing one's views in accordance with the likes of a group to which one is attempting to appeal. The term is most notably associated with politics. In pandering, the views one is expressing are merely for the purpose of drawing support up to and including votes and do not necessarily reflect one's personal values.
Every politician panders to religious people. So that disqualifies them all.
I think you are basically just saying that Republicans aren't allowed to have sex scandals and Democrats are.
Close, only criticize pubs for it, unless the dem is diddling children.
I might be altering my views though, religiosities knowingly, openly and notoriously embracing obvious apostates, heretics and/or blasphemers are discrediting religion to a greater, faster, and more encompassing level than a whole flock of atheists ever could.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Bill Clinton was also against gay marriage back when he cheated on his wife and was accused of rape. People don't seem to mind.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Yup. I would have minded. I think getting caught and lying about it was disqualifying, too.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I agree.
As far as sexual misconduct, I don't care about the state of this or that politician's marriage but I do care if they foolishly put themselves in a position where they can be blackmailed. If you're ambitious enough to climb that high, you should have the discipline to keep it in your pants.

There are only a few times when a sex scandal in politics is releveant:
#1. When a sack of shit (Let's call him Newt) wants to legislate what you can do in your bedroom, and what gender you're allowed to marry... has an extramarital affair
#2. When a fucked-up piece of shit (Let's call him Dennis) molested a little boy
#3. When it's non-consensual
#4. When a sack of shit (Let's call him Newt again) claims to be for family values, and cheats on his 2nd wife

At what point should a sex scandal disqualify a politician from office? I'm just interested at what everybody's personal line is? If Trump really paid hookers to pee on him, does that disqualify him? What about Bill Clinton and Monica? What is your personal line for when sex scandals disqualifies someone?
It depends on the scandal.
For example in the Profumo case a senior British government minister was sharing a mistress with a senior Russian official.
And in the case of Trump he has a series of allegations against him including the alleged rape of a thirteen year old which makes you wonder how much of a sexual predator are you willing to accept in your leaders.
.
How your leaders behave reflects on the country as a whole.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

There, fixed that for you. Newt is famous (well, notorious) for even cheating on his mistresses.

Generally I don't really care what they do in their private lives, as long as they aren't raping people. Bill gave us a deficit surplus, but everyone probably just remembers him as the guy that got a blow job. That seems like something between Hillary and Bill, that the general people should be as focused on, as they are about issues that actually effect their lives.

If the sex is consensual, for me, it's not so much the act but the collateral damage that often surrounds the act.

That's a fine point of view to have, so long as you think the same way about Trump's affairs.
