simple put the christian good is a psychopath that demands love

Or you know the reality of it all god doesn't exist and humans like me and you are just looking up into
the night sky thinking oh man a god might have created all that and which god(s) instead of crediting nature
for all that hard work.
The christer gawd is no better than an abusive spouse. "Love me or I'll send you to hell, dirty sinner." really isn't any different than "Love me or I'll kill you, bitch."

Kinda what it allegedly did. Killed off all the "mistakes," kept the only righteous folks in the whole world and we still ended up where we are. Some god.

So, because you don't believe in free will it doesn't exist, okay, that might work for you for me it holds no water. The reason I say this, because I do not see your arguments to be valid. You're right free will is not magic and it is a part of our lives until God's providence steps in. He may never alter any decisions you make but, for me He has and I'm grateful He cares enough to do so.
Aroura Wrote: Either we have it in some form, or we don't. The evidence says we don't (unless you redefine freewill to mean unrestrained desires that are still dictated by prior events, which some people do, and call themselves Compatibilists).
You and others can call by any name that floats your boat but free will is simply choice one makes no matter what outside influences aid in your decisions. Like I said in post #19 free will has no price to it nor do good decisions however, wrong and/or bad decisions come with a price.
Aroura Wrote:(Why would I not believe in something I can find no argument against? Wouldn't that actually be I believe in it?
I can't see you having an argument for us not having free will and what you believe in is a simple twist of definition to make your preconceived notion right.
Aroura Wrote: I suspect you don't understand it and have no argument against it. If you do have an argument against it, why do you still believe in it? lol. Project much?)
The kind most common Christians seem to rely on, which would be called Libertarian Free Will, and is widely decried as impossible to exist.
http://www.theopedia.com/libeSortarian-free-will
I know many Christians believe that God controls all in our lives to lead us to every decision we make so that His will is done and they call that free will because we do not realize what is actually taking place. I DO NOT. Choice has always been influenced by things that have previously happened in our lives and that choice is ours free and clear, the decision on the other hand could come with consequences.
GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Why would a perfect being need/want to make an imperfect world with imperfect beings?
You have this individual who supposedly has no flaws at all, and he makes a flawed universe full of people who harm one another and who hate one another.
It doesn't make sense at all. Why would a perfect being make a imperfect world.
If your first answer was free will then if Free will is such a limiting factor on making a perfect creation why have it in the first place? It seems like that in itself is a mistake, intentionally making your creation with a huge limiting factor.
For the purposes of an argument I'll take the possition of a perfect god who created the perfect universe.
This universe is perfect for me. I love the entertainment and character building challenges of conflict and resolution that come with a world full of people hating, loving, fighting and fucking each other.
It all just looks like chaos to you because you're a mere human. Don't worry your little human brain about it, when you're dead it'll all become clear.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Using Huggys logic, common sense would also tell us that if perfection can't exist without imperfection, then a perfect God could not have created the universe.

If you made a mistake on your homework would you throw the whole worksheet out, or would you fix the problems you got wrong?
If I were looking for complete perfection, absolutely!
Which is what you seem to think God was looking for, so again why didn't he throw the whole thing out and start again?
Hint: This question was asked and answered in the bible already, and the answer has nothing to do with perfection.
Again you have a corrupt view of God/creation.
God created a space to introduce a species of sentient beings, and allowed them to grow and develop in their own way at their own speed. That is what the whole atonement thing is about. Because otherwise one we develop spiritually to where God wants us to be we will have done the very sin that would prevent us from being welcomed into His family.
As it is we have both the freedom and opportunity to become who he is asking us to be. What greater perfection/design can their be to both allow those looking to be with God the freedom to sin and develop spiritually and yet have sin be the disqualification of everyone else?

That was implying that an explanation was needed.
What do you mean by "a perfect God could not have created the universe" ?
