RE: BREAKING! The Great Trump Tax Hype Bombshell!

Okay, so, evidently, Trump didn't have anything to hide. The big question is, since every president since Jimmy Carter, and even the vast majority of major party candidates, have released at least one tax form to the public, I have to ask: WHAT WAS THE FUCKING PROBLEM?
Especially given that he gave the same old "I'm being audited" excuse (and didn't even say there was no point in doing so, which would be a reasonable point) that did not hold up at all, if they revealed this little dirt, what was the point in being so reluctant?

With all due respect, you can't know that from 2 pages of tax returns from 2005...

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump leaked this himself. He looked through the past 50 years of tax returns to find the one where it actually showed him paying in.

That said, I am aware that those two pages aren't necessarily representative of his tax history, but still, my question about what took him still stands. If he had said he didn't want to do it because it was pointless (like Obama and the flag lapel pin), that would be reasonable. But he kept acting like he had something to hide with his bullshit argument about being unable to due to audits. Either way, there's still a major question mark here.

Didn't bother reading the OP. Could have predicted that A Theist would run with this. So hard to find common ground with a Trump supporter.

While I do agree that Maddow is guilty of a little grandstanding, it was peoples expectations that ultimately led any disappointment. Sure, I would have liked to have seen this past years full tax return.
I try not to be a conspiracy theorist, but the fact that just two pages of a tax return from 2005 show up in a guys mailbox seem dubious to me. Also, the fact that the WH published the income and tax paid ahead of the show tells me that they knew exactly what she had in her hand before the show aired.
Again, the important thing to take away is that trump paid a smaller percentage of income tax than most middle class people. The reason was due to the alternate minimum tax which he wants to get rid of. If it had not been for the alternate minimum tax, he would have paid about 3.5% of his income in taxes.
Was it legal.. Yes.. Is it right? IMO fuck no..
This is the kind of shit you people who keep putting republicans in power perpetuate.

This is the kind of shit you people who keep putting republicans in power perpetuate. Hell no! It wasn't Maddow's fault that she fucked up! The Republicans twisted her arm and forced her to put Trump's 2005 tax returns on the air! She thought she had something big that would validate all the conspiracy theories against Trump. The only thing she accomplished was coming out of this looking like a dumbass. I think it's more like the screeching ass democrats scampering around looking to grab at anything they can find to undermine Republicans. democrats are crazy. They're fucked in the head. Their brains are Silly Putty.

Obama - paid 18.7% of income tax in 2015
Bernie Sanders - paid 13.5% of income tax in 2014
I'm sure you're just as upset that barack and Bernie paid smaller percentages of their income taxes than most middle class people, too.

No we are not crazy. Not our fault the right has convinced you that every minority is evil. Not our fault you cant see that all the GOP is doing is using scare tactics to protect corporate welfare. Trump simply unmasked the hate of the far right white angst.
Trump didn't simply attack one politician, he scapegoated Hispanics and Arabs and made threats to political rivals on top of attacking media and even intel. Intel in 17 agencies, not one agent, but 17 agencies whom all agreed Russia had a hand in screwing with our election. Trump is the crazy one and the GOP nominating him was crazy. Trump is still attacking media and still making plenty of false claims.
Trump is all about Trump. Trump does not give a fuck whom he runs over to win. He's even insulted McCain. The GOP does not care one fuck about governing. The GOP only cares about protecting their corporate overlords.
It is a myth that liberals hate the private sector. It is a myth that we want a Stalin or even Cuba type economy. It is myth that we want lawlessness for merely valuing protecting non violent humans and keeping migrant families together.
We had 36 years of Reagan's failed deregulation "don't tax the rich", "die quickly" free for all market. Regulations are not robbery, taxes are not robbery. I am sorry someone sold you that bullshit, but that is your baggage, not ours.
If the rich always got it right, there would never be any market crashes. If the rich were always right, there would be no need for voting. We don't hate political pluralism. We don't hate the private sector. We do hate abuse of power and monopolies. The GOP set up our decline of the middle class and social safety net with Reagan.
Now let me tell you something, if you hated Bush's triple whammy crash, what Trump will do if given 8 years will make Bush's crash seem like a boom.
