Anyone else notice the comments section in most places has changed in the last week or so?  Used to be overrun with snowflake throwing Trumpsters.  There are a still a few diehards around, but greatly, greatly reduced.  I've noticed a lot more actual discussions, and a lot less flame wars.

Even here on AF, his supporters are completely gone, or oddly silent on most things.  A few hangers on remain. Is Vorlon a Trump supporter though?  I thought he was just going a bit senile, (honestly, I didn't know he was.  I can't understand most of his political posts).

I think he's just an equal opportunities mud slinger.

I'm not a Trump supporter, but if I say even something that isn't critical of Trump (for example, you can't deal with any bank without them also being involved in something critical, this article is clear nonsense), it opens up a stream of vicious insults towards me. People don't like being viciously insulted. There is a tendency to believe the worst about people you don't like (Trump) even if it would normally warrant better fact checking.

Seeing a hint from even his supporters now as having buyers remorse. We saw this coming. We now have a GOP congress not only willing to gut Medicaid/Medicare but also Meals On Wheels and PBS/NPR. What kind of heartless selfish fuck do you have to be to gut those?

His supporters ignored that 17 agencies said Russia was involved in fucking with our election. His supporters ignored that 50 republican law agents called Trump dangerous. Nope, just like the GOP couldn't stand a black buy beating them twice, they simply could not have a women beat them so they slurred and lied and conned their way to a win. 

Trump and the GOP are the smarmiest politicians I have seen in my lifetime. You'd have to go back to Nixon or segregation to find the same level of assholes we see now.

The 'pubs are betting the farm on Trump, and if he is just allowed to fucking fail in the fastest and most spectacular manner in which he is ENTIRELY capable of if just allowed to, we could literally see the end of the republicans as a viable political force for literally a generation.  But not if he is relentlessly opposed every fucking microsecond of every fucking day.

No, NSA and GTMO just like the ACA was not what Obama really wanted, but you deal with the cards you are played. Stop blaming him, that is fucking bullshit. Blame the obstructionist asshole GOP. 

You need to look at the entire map of the voting districts over the past 36 years. You need to look at the balance of power of the House and Senate, Supreme Court and the office of the President in that same 36 years. You are stuck on one politician, but the future is never shaped by one person, but long term and also the voting habits of the public long term. 

Every aspect of gov is subject to the review with no one branch having absolute power. The only way you can assess his choices is under what he wants to do, and what is realistic under the conditions he has to deal with. I am sure he would have done things far different if he had a longer time of having a democratic majority in his 8 years. Blame the asshole GOP for tying his hands. Blame them for holding him hostage.

Even when he had that very short period of a slight majority, he still dealt with a GOP majority that filibustered and killed most of what he wanted, and when he did do something, like the ACA it was watered down because of the GOP, not him.

Stop blaming the hostage for what the hostage takers do.
