Steve Bannon gone as chief strategist in NSC shakeup
April 5, 2017 at 11:57 am
President Donald Trump reorganized his National Security Council on Wednesday, removing his chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, and downgrading the role of his Homeland Security Adviser, Tom Bossert, according to a person familiar with the decision and a regulatory filing.
National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster was given responsibility for setting the agenda for meetings of the NSC or the Homeland Security Council, and was authorized to delegate that authority to Bossert, at his discretion,
according to the filing.

I was about to say that this is arguably the first sensible thing Trump has done so far.
But then I read the article and got to this curiosity:
"A White House official said that Bannon was placed on the committee in part to monitor Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, and never attended a meeting. He’s no longer needed with McMaster in charge of the council, the official said."
Things that make you go, "Hmmm . . ."

He apparently only listens to his own Sonny, Fredo, Michael, and Connie to begin with. Like all mobsters, the WLB needs to keep things in the family.

I'm pretty sure I don't buy the official story. Why now? Flynn's been out of the picture for nearly two months, and he supposedly never attended any NSC meetings? I meant, one of his charges was to keep an eye on Flynn, and he attends no NSC meetings in 24 days? I don't buy it.
I don't think the aforementioned issue in the article above this post would faze either Trump or Bannon at this point.
