Strobel makes the mistake of using the bible to prove the bible.
The bible is the claim not the evidence.

Here he is in "God's Not Dead 2" making his case.  It's the kind of bullshit that only impresses other Christians, like the A.D. and B.C. changing in the calendar proves Jesus was real. Never mind the fact that that wasn't invented until 525 A.D. Not only that, he blatantly lies about Habermas being an atheist.

He's either a con-man or an idiot, as per usual with these guys.

Well, they usually make these for dirt cheap, because they know Christians will flock to it no matter how poorly made it is. Wikipedia is saying it cost 3 million while another site I saw said "around 5 million."

It will have a huge profit margin like the other Christian propaganda films, because they don't have to make a bundle at the box office and have a built-in audience. Then there's the DVD money...

I remember hearing that when I subjected myself to the masochistic torment of his fallacy-ridden twaddle listened to his "Case for Christ" on audio as I was driving one day and felt so bewildered by the sheer stupidity and wonder of how anyone could buy into this crap inspired. The reasoning is quite circular simple. 

1. The Bible tells us Jesus is Lord.
2. We know this is true because Jesus fulfilled the Bible's prophecies (actually, no, he really didn't which is why the Jews didn't buy this crap)
3. We know that he fulfilled the Bible's prophecies because the Bible tells us he did. (actually, no, but let that go since the whole argument is laughably circular anyway).
