No. I don't like wearing signs on my clothing.

I like them, wife and I listened a lot to their stuff in the early 2000s when we were dating, so I have some nostalgic connection to it - I never saw them live though. Led Zeppelin are of course awesome. Of the live concerts on YT, I like this one the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFkzZHIcgFs They hadn't yet published Stairway to Heaven, so they are not playing it, which is a huge plus Big Grin

Oh come on, Stairway is a great song, even if it is ripped off from a Spirit record.

It is a great song, but it's been so damaged by over-playing that it has become a cliché, unfortunately.

Still better than "Knocking on heaven's door".

Whenever I hear that song I always think, "For fuck's suck stop knocking and just go in!"

It's definitely at the top of my list of nonetheless great songs that I don't care if I ever hear again due to overplay.

Years ago I was fiddling around with Photoshop and came up with my own rendition of what "the mark of the beast" from Revelation would look like.

The other day I was thinking about it. I think it's a cool looking symbol, and I thought it might possibly make a great T-shirt.

If given the opportunity, would you wear one? Would you wear a symbol that told the world your allegiance lies with the Antichrist?

Of course, if you're an atheist or agnostic, it would be like wearing a T-shirt of Voldemort or Darth Vader. But the believers might have a different perspective it on.

Here's what it looks like...

Please respond to this thread with a "Yes" - I'd wear one, or a "No" - not for me ... or vote in the poll.[/b]

Thanks!

P.S. Also, feel free to share your opinions on the design of the symbol.

As on the other forum -- I wouldn't wear a shirt inviting a conversation I don't want to have. Life is too short to invite stupid conversations, I get enough of those as it is.

TL/DR: NO.

I'm 24 and probably only starting getting into classic rock around 17 or 18... so I haven't heard Stairway for 30+ years lol

I still love to listen to it
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll

Re OP:

I quite like the simplicity of the design, but no I wouldn't wear it myself. I don't wear any religious symbols at all.

Besides, as an atheist I already have three sixes on my head, obviously.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

As a little graphic, I think it's cool. If I thought anyone would look at it and think, "my sistah!" or "that chick's of da debbil!", I definitely wouldn't wear it. Take the design, scale it down a ton, make it a pattern, and print it on some more colorful shit than white?

I can think of a hundred different marketing schemes just typing this.

Around here nobody cares unless it's a very obvious symbol like the cross or the star of David. It's all about the colors of the shirt and its design.

But no; I won't be wearing it. I don't believe in the antichrist nor in the coming of Jesus peace be upon him.

The antichrist is just a reflection of all the misery early Christians faced under Rome; to be honest every age has its beasts, all invent pretty much when it comes to torture and murder, and symbolism.
