A modern analogy, I suppose, would be in the cartoon show South Park where Kenny dies in almost every episode . . . .

So he died twice for our sins.  Does that mean we have credits?

I think the consensus at Atheist Forums is one death was for me, and the other for the rest of humanity . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I'm finally having a full 4 days off work.

Thank you Christianity....

Whether your pinup boy mythology is real or not, no one cares, but my days off with pay are!
Thank you, thank you....

Onion gravy! I'll have to figure out how to catch some drippings. I sure as shit ain't eating store bought gravy unless someone here has a good recommendation. I'm making dinner Sunday; my wife has a wicked cold with bronchitis and sinusitus; taking antibiotics for it. I'll be roasting fingerling potatoes and sweet potatoes along with that leg of lamb. Probably roast some Brussels sprouts, too. Got a bottle of Bull's Blood of Eger (my wife is of Hungarian extraction) to go with it. Not sure how dry that is. I have a bottle of Merlot that might get pressed into service; it's been on the counter for a few weeks, and should get gone before it spoils.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
