I've commented on something like this before. As an Air Force veteran who has spent plenty of time living around air fields, I find it perfectly normal to complain about that noise.

I actually live near the flight path for Luke AFB.  It used to be bad when they were the training base for the F-16 because 3 or 4 of them would fly overhead every hour or so.  Now it is the home of the F-35 and those fucking things seem grounded most of the time.  More, they seem to fly more east and north of my house as they line up to land.  Maybe they don't turn as quickly as the F-16?  Something someone should have thought of while they were building the fucking thing. 

Anyway, I never think "that's the sound of freedom" when a plane flies over.  More like "that's the sound of money being pissed away."

I'm about 5 miles from Offut AFB. They are always training one king of jet or another. Ya learn to ignore it.
