Looks like we're rescuing a dog
May 17, 2017 at 10:18 pm
We found a dog loose in the neighborhood when we were getting ready for work. She was very skittish, tail between the legs. Took her into the house and fed and dried her off and left my girlfriend's son to watch her while we were at work.
Today, we put up some ads to try to find her owner. When we got home from work, we talked to our neighbors across the street, apparently she's been hanging around the neighborhood for a week and a half. They've kept her fed but didn't take her in. Apparently, she didn't have a collar then, but when we found her, she had a bright green one. That's the weirdest thing.
She seems healthy, she's really friendly and well behaved and gentle. Pretty sure she's barely an adult. I can't imagine someone abandoning such a sweet pupper but I suppose anything could have happened.
Anyhow, we're going to do what we can to find the owner.

2 rescue kitties here, both fat and sassy.
I'm not a big fan of little barky dogs, but I wouldn't rule out someday a 'farm' dog of some kind.

I'm glad you're doing that
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

She's so pretty and sweet looking. (Benefit of being in the Slack channel, people)
(I secretly hope you don't find the owners)
(Unless they're super sad they lost their baby and they're good owners)
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Looks like a successful dog/human rescue.
Good for you taking her in.
If I ever get a dog it will be a decent sized one.
I can't stand yappy rats!
