My son turned five a couple weeks ago. Up until a few months ago, I couldn't take him out to public places often, because he would go into what we call crisis (anxiety attacks). He has been improving sooooooo much thanks to therapy, his teachers, and his whole support team. I took him out today on a dinner date and he was so excited. He ate his dinner, said "te ku" (thank you) to the waiter EVERY time he walked by, and just before we left he stopped at the tables on the way out saying, "Byeeeeeee, everyone!" OMFSM! I can't with so much happiness. We went from ZERO words, zero face expressions, and zero social awareness, to a happy child enjoying his world. I'm one happy momma! This is us as we arrived back home happy as ever. This last year has been full of surprises with this little minion.
