It is pomp and pageantry. That's what's so awesome. All these countries with monarchs all have our quirky ceremonies and stuff. Have you ever watched our State Opening of Parliament? It's completely bonkers. I love it. The monarchy is part of what Britain is. An important part of our identity. Without it, what would we be? Some kind of flag worshipping faceless nation with no quirks? Noooo. Constitutional Monarchies work for many countries in Europe, they're great.
