I for one didn't have to do anything special to get selected for Mod status; apart perhaps from earning some little respect from those who decided I was worthy of the position. I merely logged in one morning to find a private message from Tiberius inviting me to the team.

Precisely my experience, with the exception that I think it was Shell B, not Tiberius who extended the offer, over 5 years ago now.

Nor did I then, and nor do I now, have any knowledge of the discussions that took place behind the scenes that prompted the invitation.
