My conclusion is that Hitler, like trump...said nice things about some people™, but that he still..like trump, had the camps built and filled with them.  OTOH, hitler also said shitty things about those same people..it's almost like he was an inconsistent liar, like trump..in that same regard.

Trumps immigration policies are a threat to anyone who's brown - criminal or not.  Illegal or not.  Alien or not.  They;re a threat to anyone else while were at it..when there are no more brown people to come for.  Who will we blame for our woes then...what will we do to them?

You wouldn't need to guess - I'm a pretty wordy guy.  The only reason that you're "guessing" is to fish for straw fodder.

Quote:You should be more blunt.  Say Jails are just like Concentration camps if that's what you want to say.  Why all the meandering?
Because jails -aren't- like concentration camps.  Concentration camps are.  They are camps..with concentration, lol.  Just because you like to call our concentration camps jails or detention centers doesn't make them any less than what they are.  The nazis also had fun names for theirs.  Meanwhile, civilized countries with actual jails look on in horror.

Also, the idea that Russian meddling was good for the country is extremely short-sighted. This "transparency" for which you're grateful is nothing of the sort, because they only released the information that they wanted to release in order to serve their own purposes.

But hey, if it helps you feel better about your vote which was worse than wasted -- "actively counter-productive" would be the phrase I'd use -- then keep telling yourself that. Your selectivity in these matters is amazing. You're having a two-day-long OCD fit about people comparing Trump to Hitler, and hardly a peep except to praise a foreign country subverting our electoral process?

Anything to justify a stupid vote, apparently ... anything at all.

Here's how I view this particular instance of Russian meddling.

Imagine some asshole wants to break up your marriage.  That's a dick thing to do, and you are justifiable pissed.  But then the asshole shows you a video he took of your wife getting plowed in the ass by her yoga instructor.

Then your wife gets home and says "Forget the video of me getting plowed in the ass by the yoga instructor, we should be outraged he's trying to break  up our marriage!"

The primary Russian meddling, in this case, was exposing that the DNC was actively rigging the primary for Hillary.

Russia's still an asshole, but I'm glad it's out there that the DNC was subverting our electoral process.

Your analogy is incomplete. It's as if the asshole is only releasing evidence from one side, because he's trying to steer your thinking.

And in this case, it has obviously worked.

I'm not angry, but I do have little tolerance for idiocy -- and the willingness to speak bluntly. I'll let you know when I want your advice.

Now quit trying to turn the conversation away from the topic by directing it at the personal qualities of a poster. You're clearly flailing and just as clearly are unwilling to simply think about the points being put to you. It hasn't escaped my notice that you didn't address the point of my last post at all, even though it directly undermined yours. Because of that, I don't believe that you're interested in discussing this matter earnestly.

You can have the last word in this exchange. Unless you bring something that's a little more thoughtful than the drivel you've been posting, I'm done here.

See, THAT's a conclusion.  Nobody is safe.  You got a little inspecific again with "Trumps immigration policies" instead of what I asked, because I suspect there are his actual immigration policies, and then what I imagine you are able to read between the lines to be his real immigration policies.  But 'Nobdoy is safe'.  Is a solid conclusion.  No ambiguity there.

A teensy bit light on supportive argument, but I like it none-the-less.

Manipulated by a stranger vs. Ignorance on an important issue.
For me, it's an "It depends" situation.  To me, the DNC undermining the electoral process is serious enough that I want to know.  If it was the RNC who got exposed, and it'd mean Hillary became president, my answer would be the same.

A familiar and predictable course of action is rationally expected to have a familiar and predictable effect.  Americans are -already- pulled over, asked for their papers...and then deported to countries that they've never been to.  Trump thinks we weren;t deporting hard enough.  He wants more money to build more concentration camps and hire more gestapo to find all those dirty browns.  He even wants it made to be explicitly illegal to help them. Meanwhile, we will be, and are currently becoming a pariah state on account of it (and so, so much more). Wait...wait, is that hitler or trump. You tell me.

Why, who knows.  Bad hombres and rapists, apparently. Oh yeah, and they took our jobs and are social parasites. If we could get rid of them america would be great again. Can I get a sig heil yeah?!?

There's nothing ambiguous about an executive order...wally.  Thankfully, the american system has told him..in many more words, that he can go do genteel racism to people on his own dime and time, because we aren't going to pay for that shit, kthxbai.

Rolleyes

No supportive argument is required in order to establish that a person did the thing they did. That;s my comparison..that;s what -you- are allegedly responding too...remember? That's what you ran off to snopes to check (because apparently you don;t keep up with your boys eo's). Let's go with your link. You saw fit to link it so I assume it agrees with your position. What did they weigh in at? Partially true, was it? How large a portion of hitler are you comfortable with in potus.

It's zero, for me...but we've already discussed that, haven't we? Do we really need to do it again? If you want to set yourself up in opposition to my inference, based upon that fact..then you would be suggesting that maybe it wouldn't go poorly for us, like it did for the germans, for our leader to pull a hitler. Do you really want to do that? Long before they gassed a jew, they became a surveillance state in which neighbors were required to rat out their "criminal" neighbors. If you didn;t, or the state wanted to consider you a sympathizer..you ended up in the camp as well...and that's already been called for...here, now, by this administration. I'm not interested in playing chicken with Holocaust 2.0. It's not something I'd gamble about, no matter what I thought I might win.

This is getting tedious. I wonder if there is anyone on these boards that voted for Trump and has the balls or ovaries to admit it was obviously a mistake.

Fellow atheists take note, distancing oneself from religion does not make anyone a genius nor keep them from being a complete ass.

What if you're wrong?  How would you know?

Do you find it odd that nobody who is anti-trump has stated any fault with anything being said by anyone else anti-trump in this thread?  You've all taken various stances on the anti trump spectrum, but nobody has said a peep in regards to any of it when it comes to eachothers arguments.

Khemikal is saying some crazy chicken little shit.  Nobody is safe!  Jails are concentration camps!  I'm (me) playing chicken with Holocaust 2.0 by voting for Trump.

I'm fairly sure, if we ask him, Khem'd say Bill Clinton was also like Hitler.   How about you?  Do you think Bill Clinton was like Hitler?

What would Khemikal have to say before you said something in this thread.  More importantly in terms of self-analysis, what would you have to say, for one of them to call you out on it?   Do you ever worry about things like that?  That maybe you're all enabling each other a bit in the name of this us against them style of argument?

Do you think Bill Clinton was like Hitler, in that he took a subset of actions that Hitler also took, which is enough to disqualify him for POTUS?

I ask, because I was reading about the concentration camps on the border, and "Mandatory detention was then officially authorized by President Bill Clinton in 1996 with the enactment of the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act (AEDPA) and the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRAIRA). From 1996 to 1998, the number of immigrants in detention increased from 8,500 to 16,000[3]" came up.

Like you said, it doesn't excuse Trump being like Hitler, but if everybody is like Hitler, voting for someone like Hitler seems excusable, since you can't not vote for someone like Hitler.

Didn't we just discuss this two posts ago, less?  "He did it too!" means jack shit to me, and doesn't discredit or diminish any comparison between trump and hitler.  I know, you hope that I have motives from my being a dirty liberal clinton hippie and all that..and I'll fawn over mein fuhrer for the next 17 pages as you've done for the previous... but I'm just not, and I wont.  If you want to make the "ways in which clinton pulled hitler shit" thread do so, I'll contribute.

Next.

Yep, part of his "triangulation", and the retarded dem appeal to "moderates" by courting the nazi wing of american politics.  Grade A idiot move, and another example of people turning themselves into collaborators in order to get that all important win.

And?

Who said anything about everybody?   How about your granny, is she like hitler.  If you knew this was a bullshit quip then why did you hit "post" anyway? Just stop.
