I've said this else where, I feel that firing Comey is the beginning of the end. As things continue to deteriorate I may be correct. But not gonna hold my breath.

Somewhere in my travels today it was reported that a White House aide wants the WLB to be read his Miranda Rights so he shuts the fuck up.

Yes, this. The same goes for many Obama, Clinton, Bush etc. supporters too, and probably even moreso in some cases since they had much higher approval levels. Many people are like sports fans and just have complete support for the team no matter what they do.

There is no comparison Obama was average. Clinton was competent . Bush for all his faults was at least sane. But Trump is whole other variety of absurd. Bush even at his lowest would still be million leagues above Trump and Trumps only  been in office a few months.

Not the point. Of course Obama was better and I wanted him to be elected, but we're talking about fanatics who can't admit that these politicians have faults, like Obama supporters who said he was fantastic while ignoring him arming jihadists in Syria which helped kill many and caused children to be captured and become sex slaves/ child brides, droning weddings, bombing hospitals, and taking more civil liberties away at home, while being a puppet for Wallstreet. Every politician has many, many fans that treat this like it's a sports game and they're simply fans of a team.

Marketing, marketing pure and simple.

Trump could sell a quadruple amputee a mountain bike for double the MSRP and the guy would say he got a great deal and loves the bike. Hillary couldn't sell even me a dildo.

See, I cannot understand this animosity toward Hillary Clinton.

In fact, I supported her all the way through.

You know why?

She had her husband behind her, and he was an amazing president.

Did anyone honestly think he would not be helping her in any way?

Some reviews for Shattered have noted Hillary disregarded Bill's campaign advice.  (My copy isn't here yet.  Full review/discussion at some point)

So Bill may have been behind her, but she was apparently ignoring his advice.

Excerpt from the NYT review:

It’s the story of a wildly dysfunctional and “spirit-crushing” campaign that embraced a flawed strategy (based on flawed data) and that failed, repeatedly, to correct course. A passive-aggressive campaign that neglected to act on warning flares sent up by Democratic operatives on the ground in crucial swing states, and that ignored the advice of the candidate’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, and other Democratic Party elders, who argued that the campaign needed to work harder to persuade undecided and ambivalent voters (like working-class whites and millennials), instead of focusing so insistently on turning out core supporters.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

They really don't live in reality.

These people will pretty much believe anything written on Brietbart, Infowars, FOX, etc. Most of them can't really think for themselves, so they let conservative figureheads formulate opinions for them - which results in them being capable of nothing but talking points in conversations. All they can do is say "Clinton lost, get over it loser!", "your (instead of you're) a SJW!", "you just hate Trump and love the establishment!t", or any of the other dozen rationalizations they use to excuse Trumps disturbing behavior.

Fuck these people. They're as bad as Trump.

Has there ever been an elected, sitting president who didn't get his party's nomination without stepping down?

I did a quick search and couldn't find a president who lost the nomination to another member of their party. Trump, if he doesn't get impeached or resign to avoid impeachment, just might set a precedent here.
