Some religious people really do good in the world, and are great people to meet and be around. Usually the ones that don't take their religion too seriously.

Lel, but it's true. Those are the ones I tend to get along with. Ok, about the more devout ones, obviously there are cherrypickers, but the ones who cherry pick the nice part of Jesus' message, and stick to that, tend to be the good ones. Of course those people would be good with or without religion, but if they're going to incorporate religion in their lives, at least incorporate the nice parts.

Then again, those would still be heretics, because they ignore the nastier parts.....I'm having trouble finding good things to say about people who read the bible cover to cover, and try to stay true to as many parts of it as possible. This is a difficult challenge.

At least with religion, people have the idea that there are solutions and inspiration which don't rely on their own paltry powers to be cobbled. If only they would ride that mental state of hopeful expectation where it led instead of turning around and extracting literal marching orders from the wonder book of life's answers xtians call the bible.

For those without a moral compass it can help push them in the right direction. My god parents' kid (I call him my god brother lmao) ended up in jail after a hard early life, found religion, got on a better path, now has a kid that he really takes care of. Now granted it could be just cause he got older, wiser, and didn't want to do shit that could put him back in jail but let's just say it's because of faith lol

My parents get along way better since going back to church. My mom quit drinking because of the church. Other people can do these things without a church, but I think the church was necessary in my parents case or else these things just never would have happened.

Lol he wasn't religious back then. Don't worry his mother tried to get him to be. She also took her job as god mother very seriously. She would always try to convert me every time I saw her for YEARS!
