I was looking for a nice place where I can share my non-religious perspective without having to deal with the torches and the pitchforks. I am a rather adamant Atheist and I do not have anything nice to say about religion nor do I respect it.

Welcome and you might find that some theists don't have much nice to say about religion as an institution as well. There's not a lot of people here who respect religion, and as long as you can respect everyone's right to an opinion you'll fit in just fine here. Feel free to jump in.

I'm told there's still occasional pitchforks here, but I'm also told the people handling them are chased away pretty quickly with the scary Logic-taser. So far everyone seems fairly reasonable. Welcome aboard.
