The insurance companies certainly have the ROI on the plan they're selling to you figured out. Don't you think you should also at least take a stab at figuring it out?

If a person were going to spend 10 years on the ACA, they'd be paying, what? 100,000 dollars a decade or so? It's an odd mindset to me to imagine spending that much on anything and not viewing it as an investment. How much am I paying vs. how much is it worth to me seems like such a simple idea.

Probably just a bullshit semantic argument in the making, in the end.

I'm not assuming it would be passed unmolested, but as an opening basis for negotiations, a comprehensive bill to fix ACA would be a prerequisite for sitting down with the pubs to hammer out something that can get 51 votes or 60 or 67 or whatever the fuck it needs.
