How would you name Planet Nine?

RE: How would you name Planet Nine?
Well, I know Tommy Wiseau's always wanted his own planet. Quoth Tommy Wiseau (As reported by Greg Sestero in The Disaster Artist):“For me,” he said, “I always wanted to have my own planet. Call it Tommy’s Planet. Build a giant building there, you see, like… Empire Tower. Some casino thing. My planet will be bigger than everything... I see this big thing and big light and big events with stores and hotel and movie. All these things all together. It will be spectacular. And you can live in my planet, if you decide. Maybe I let you stay for a little while.”

Why not name it Wiseau?

Spaceball

Very pragmatic!
Exactly what an evolved ape would say. Nice and obvious.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

Planet Oort would be fun to say. For kids and adults.

Vesta -if were sticking with Greek pantheon

Vidar (the god of revenge and silence ) Norse

Bifrost -(a mythological place rather then a person)

Sif -(Thors wife goddess of destiny )

Tyr-(the guy that locked away Fenrir the bringer of  Ragnarök)

Thurd -(the head Valkyrie)

So let's say you discover it, because then you get to name it, which name would you give it?

I think I would name it Jesus. I would do it in order to interest Christians more in astronomy and science and if there were moons discovered around it they could be named for apostles, because that would even more fuel their interest. Books would be written about it because Christians would be interested to know more about this planet and at the same time books would teach them a lot about astronomy and science in general. Knowing their mentality they would create all sorts of legends about it, like some would think you go there after you die; some would get the impression that Jesus lives there now; some would perhaps dream of having a pilgrimage there and so on. So perhaps there would be a boom of space exploration.

What do you think?

I think the bolded part would come as a great surprise to the International Astronomical Union.

Vesta is already taken by a large Asteroid. I vote Tyr because I'm a fan of the band.

I'm a fan of that one too. But more because in Norse myth he was a total badass .
